The SADC Region Paralegal Conference, a two day conference starting on the 1st and Second of October 2020 at Zanzibar Beach Resort in Mazinini Kilimani, Zanzibar.

The conference had three main objectives, these being:-

1. To seek support from governments and Bar Associations in the SADC region for paralegal recognition.
2. Create a platform for paralegal organisations in SADC region to share information on paralegal work best practices.
3. To develop and circulate a joint communique on the need to recognise paralegal work and improve the provision of legal aid services.
